Keikeoso I'm working on 3d printing a 10in server rack to set up a raspberry pi nas and other pi boards. so I'm brand spanking new to all of this. if I get a second pi for not the nas, can I run this and things like pihole all on the same pi or do they all need separate pi's?

Nov 23, 2025I'm also printing a rack too! Yes, their shoudlt have that much problems on a single pi, it will just be a ram issue though, but 8gb should be fine.
404PageNotFunI am new to Linux and Docker, is there a way to give Docker permission to make changes in 'containers' folder so in the docker-compose I can use the './jellyfin_data... ' data path? Or is it better volumes in that directory?

Nov 22, 2025If you want Docker to write into a folder like ./jellyfin_data, just create the folder and give your user ownership. Docker will handle the rest. Example: mkdir -p jellyfin_data sudo chown -R $USER:$USER jellyfin_data Then in your docker-compose: volumes: - ./jellyfin_data:/config Bind mounts like this are usually better than Docker named volumes because the data is easy to find, back up, and move. Named volumes work, but they hide everything under /var/lib/docker/volumes. So yes — you can use the folder directly. Just create it and fix the permissions first.

BigGreek19Does this use a lot of resources? I assume since it's using another engine as the backend and not its own DB then it should run on the pi easy enough?
