Video I'm just going to have a look at #emby as a media player for your homelab. I've previously looked at Plex and will have a video coming up about jellyfin but today we are looking at how to use Emby for your home lab. Emby is a very easy to use media player that runs on Linux CazaOS and any other Home lab or Nas system that you've got running. I would say it is probably the lowest feature set of all of the media's players but it has plenty of apps to run on all of your devices and does the job as required.

StealthoneillThe only struggle I’ve had at the minute is Linux and storing media on a NAS and having it mount and work at all times
Yes, I find it unnecessarily difficult as well.
Adam BI will never use any media server that puts hardware accelerated transcoding behind a paywall.
It is a dick move.
Wolf✖2 🇨🇦if you think jellyfin is gonna stay free forever you're gonna be a saaaaad panda. it's not about who charges, it's a who exploits.
Sebastian KlingkAnd Jellyfin HW Transcoding is not working for iOS Apps like for AppleTV. Everything feels or is so beta. That’s why I switched to plex and played for a lifetime license
It is worth it I think, it's 25% of Netflix and 150%more valuable.
Adam BWhat exactly would they be charging for. there is no cloud component unlike Plex and the source code is public.

Tregelen🇦🇺What do you think of Kometa to handle some automations in Plex?
