BI feel like going for all those high value torrents you just end up competing with all the people who have seedboxes, which my speed doesn't match, only to end up with files you don't even want. I've had great results just getting freeleech of what I actually want in my server and then permaseeding. It only took a few months to have enough buffer to stop worrying about freeleech at all.

caskohave you done an autobrr tutorial? I set up a filter to push any fl torrents to qbittorrent to build up ratio, along with another to push any fl movies to radarr so it grabs new movies as soon as they're available. I have it using IRC so it's instant, instead of waiting for rss feeds or radarr searches

mikaeltorngrenRatio is so overrated. We should heavily promote seeding dying torrents instead. Ratio we can simply pump by sniping new big releases.

farmerfrancemy experience with private indexers has been terrible. you can't DL much because your ratio will dip. you can seed something popular (even popular freeleech content) a really long time and get nowhere because everyone else is also worried about their ratio.

redleifmy personal preferred use is if i wanna watch something that isn't available on my currently subbed streaming service or can't be rented cheaply on prime video or apple.

lexsteeleauI know it’s not self hosted. But just get a seed box for a month. Run autobrr. You will get terabytes of upload in a week. Never have to even think about ratio again on TL.

MFKDGAFTorrenting isn't secure. You should be using newsgroups instead.
