#Cloudflare DNS powers most of the internet so it's crazy to have a single point of failure, that you have no control over. In this video I want to touch on what is DNS and how can you self host your own DNS server. We will use a #Raspberry Pi and install #Techitium, into a #docker container on #Ubuntu server.

Yes, butNot ONT. the router does dns.
depends on your network, but most people only have the ont and will have their dns on that device, others like myself have a seperate gateway router and ONT

Andy WhittakerMost DNS servers query the master root servers if they don't have the IP in their cache. UBOUND queries these servers directly. In theory, this is much better

Absolutely! I'd suggest using pihole as that will do dns and ad blocking, really well and on a low end pi
