#infuse is a very clean media player designed for the Apple ecosystem. You can stream directly from #plex or #jellyfin servers, a local folder, a network share folder, or even cloud hosted files, like google drive or Dropbox. It is paid for most features but looks great.

paapaathreepointzeroI use free VLC to play movies on an old iMac, but they playback stutters and there are pauses like annoying buffering. Infuse plays without problems (the iMac is connected to the TV HDMI). What I was hoping for (and did not find on infuse) is for the iPhone app to control playback, volume, and remotely select videos from the iMac connected drives. VLC Remote is a paid app that does this. Plus the Mac app provides HTTP interface access. Is there any other app that can replace VLC's remote play features?
I've not seen anything sorry :(
Lukey 𒉭 Lukeycan I add trakt watch lists to this? even if I don't have a local file?
I'm not to sure, I think you can.
Muhammad hussainI just found a app playerXtreme and that works better then infuse and a way how to get it free for lifetime u should explain how to use this application i have shared a video on my profile how to get it free for lifetime its not a promotion just here to find a way how to use it https://apps.apple.com/us/app/player-xtreme-video-player/id6737277424
Macy._Grey._and_Me@BenjaminSPowell a lot of your content is over my head and a lot of it I couldn’t implement myself anyway because I’m legally, for that reason I am hugely an Apple user. I have got a very old Windows 10 desktop PC that I use to host all of the digital content I have got from decades of collecting DVDs and Blu-ray with digital content, that said I also have a massive digital Apple movies collection and was wondering would this also share that content digital to my Plex?
If you have the actual files then you can get that in Plex, if its locked up behind an Apple login and you have to use their tools, then its unlikly
jacktheladyGreat player already use it plex sucks.
Yeah Infuse is SUPER simple to use, doesn't try to do too much!
theoriginaljones0I use Plex with iOS and Apple TV boxes with no issues but run Plex server on a windows PC
Perfect setup
jacobram65738 years using Infuse. Such an underrated app. Not perfect of course but definitely better than Plex as a front end
Yeah none of them are perfect, but when it works for you, there is no reason to change.
💖꯱ׁׅ֒ᨵׁׅ℘hׁׅ֮ꪱׁׅꫀׁׅܻ💖Infuse costs money tho
Yeah it does, which sucks.
NordicWardenare there any jellyfin apps that allow chromecasting?
Yes, I did a vide today actually, CineNow is a media manager that supports chromecast
film.lucasI use it for years with my plex its amazing
Nice, infuse is a great option.
film.lucasIts the only option for people who have blu ray library on plex with all codec support
Interesting, good to know
bambibol / DINDIN design 🇳🇱I'm trying infuse atm, pro for a year. But it looks sooo empty on ATV where it shows tons more on my phone 😭 I tried alllll the settings but I'm missing stuff like pick of the day and unwatched
Oh, I don't know the platform well enough to offer a suggestion sorry. :(
B_EVENTHow can I share a movie from infuse to another device?
DukeSilverPlex app works great on Apple TV and doesn’t cost extra money like infuse
Better answer than mine :)
DukeSilverStrange since I haven’t had any files not direct play on mine
If you go into settings, you can limit the types that it will get so you don't need to bother sorting.
Im a plex user yeah, it just works.
When your tv can handle it , its going to direct play default.
oliv_r 🍉you still need to do metadata work even if youre going raw on infuse btw
crackheadbengalsInfuse is so worth it ✨ 100000% recommended
It's pretty impressive
BrenDefinitely worth the money!
Infuse is pretty good, especially if you have content shared in cloud folders.
Human Druid 🍁does it allow you to download episodes or movies to watch offline later?
I belive yes it has that function.
Human Druid 🍁thank you, just tried it and it worked :)
AlecLove Infuse
its pretty fancy
George W🥰🥰🥰
sam_dot_aiInfuse is the best value annual subscription I pay - excellent app.
Yeah, I found it fantastic.
LexiI mentioned this on another of your vids. It's a great app...
Where do you think I got the idea from? Wink.
No DentsInfuse is way better than the Apple TV Plex app. It plays way more codecs, handles them better and displays Dolby vision content properly. Redux’s look and play best on infuse Apple TV
Honestly, if I had an Apple TV, I would be using this.
G.I.Robot100% correct! Been a lifetime plex user for years. My plex server runs on a Mac min m1. Once I got an Apple TV I switched my usage to infuse. Both my kids still use plex with their android phones and PC’s.
เวย์น wayneI had problems with casaos so use runtipi instead and think it's easier to set up
I might do a video on runtipi I think.
เวย์น wayneI'm liking it, seems to be simpler to set up apps
Casa is really easy yeah.
Yeah, it's built for that purpose.
93ETAren’t the Plex apps for tvOS, iOS and iPadOS pretty good now?! 😅
yeah its great, however if you are using jellyfin there is no IOS app, this is the workaround.
93ETAh, cool. Does Infuse have any advantages over the Plex apps?
It can stream from many different sources, which plex doesn't have, that's about it.
wallywallyI see a jellyfin iOS app.
Grahanot sure what you’re seeing, but i’ve got the jellyfin app on my iPhone, has no issues
MilkLizardOf course there’s an app for Jellyfin on iOS. By Anthony Lavado, only 11MB.
MilkLizardNo transcoding, since Infuse can handle every codec and audio format. Cleaner interface too, but that’s person preference of course.
user7798187592011Jellyfin has an iOS app
Sebastian KlingkBut no need to use this on Apple if you have a plex server, the iOS Apps for Plex are all quite good and working perfectly.
Absolutely yes, it's more I think for jellyfin users to be honest.
Liam MeckInfuse is amazing. Worth the money
I was quite happily impressed, yes.
