MrAussie_at_CODYou should also be uploading full video @ YouTube of course after each parts have been promoted on here. I just think it would be very educational to have full vids somewhere else to be able to help the process.
Yeah, I should. I'll get around to it when I can. :)
MrAussie_at_CODI also should mention loving your videos keep up the great work mate.
Thanks mate, I'm enjoying making them :)
coleWhich unraid license would be worth it? I have 4 4’s, 16 tb of storage total as of right now, should I invest in the 109 or is the 49 on its own fine?
Honstely jsut go for the $50 one now, its easy to upgrade later IF you need to. I have an affiliate link in my bio if you want to be nice ;)
coleWill do, thanks so much!
seanjayp1I have been debating between TruNAS and Unraid for the home lab. Does TN have similar capabilities?
Not as easy, you'll need to run a local vpn client and bind the container to it
tiktommdmilI use a separate container running a VPN. only downside is when you update that VPN container any dependent containers need restarted.
Yeah, only unraid has this simple function, for single vpn /container management, but is it enough to make someone switch, most likely not.
Max DiOrioI just set up gluetun in a container - but I also put a socks5 and an http proxy with it so I can route whole container or VM’s like you show, but I can also configure individual applications on almost any network device to use socks5 proxy and get the vpn. Great video.
Max DiOrioOh - highly recommend using DNS over TLS or DNS over HTTP to some dns provider other than your internet provider (cloudflare, Google, quad9).
viral.agentNice if you can create a video how you do it. Interested to learn your way as well
I'm sorting out a dns video today!
4_2_2_3what DNS provider do you recommend? something like next?
I just posted a video on DNS for you, if you want to watch that.
The First LordI will say I never implemented this feature. Still using the old way of running all my containers on a name based network and pointing them all to binhex deluge vpn. Really should go this way, as it's more user friendly.
What ever works best for you, is the best way for it to work for you!
I_Am_TeemoWhat’s the best way to do it for casaos I’m still stuck on that. I just want to route my transmission traffic through the VPN I’m also a beginner
Gluetun is I think the option, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSE5-9CpkNk thats a good video on how to set up
I_Am_TeemoThe video is unavailable 😕 maybe because I’m in USA 🤔
