This isn’t a sponsored video, but I do have an affiliate link in the description. Lately, I’ve been talking a lot about #NAS setups and storage options — my last few videos have covered #Synology and similar systems. With the cost of cloud storage becoming ridiculous, it’s worth thinking carefully about how you manage your backups. I use #GoodSync — it’s about $30 a year, and you can run the GoodSync Server on something as small as a #Raspberry Pi or any low-power computer. It lets you match specific folders or files between devices and sync them automatically — on change, on schedule, or when you connect to a network. You can use it to move, back up, or synchronise files seamlessly. If you’re using a NAS, #TrueNAS , or shared network storage as your main workspace and want a reliable secondary backup, this is an excellent option.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯Thoughts on FolderSync?
Not really played with it, but looks OK, 40 euro for 5 devices though.
Kr0noL1nkTry Immich as a Google photos it's basically a copy of it

superbobResilio Sync (syncing files) and Kopia (backup)
Daniel HuescaBackrest. It's a frontend for Restic. Use with blackblaze buckets. Cheap, reliable and very customizable
Nice, restic is nice, not super user friendly for non technical people but a solid choice.
boopbeepsyncthing?
I played with syncthing for about an hour and got a few things working, I installed goodsync and had it set up in 5 min, also it works on my phone.
Paja PatakSyncthing-fork works on phone and works perfectly on multiple desktop and mobile devices for me.
David Tullygood sync is awesome
I'm really happy with it.
SeeeeeeeebIsn’t backblaze the best since it’s unlimited storage for 100$ a year?
That option is designed for full computer back up and not just folder storage.
SeeeeeeeebBut couldn’t you technically do it on folder storage? 😈
Their docs say that trying folder storage for the backup service is done by excluding folders, also it needs to run from a mac or Windows. It won't run from a server or simiar. The only workable option without a massive amount of dicking about, is $6 per TB per month.
Ted Jonesthis is what I've been wanting in to do, on my nas, for my phone & pc.
Gotta back it all up!
