I tried doing a product review on the Tp-Link ER707-M2, I'm not great at listing facts. But if you're #homelabbing and need to step up your network game a little, TP link is my current choice. Their Omada system is decent and overall a good place to start. I'll show you the hardware install next, and then I'll go through software. #tplink #homelab #network

Yeah, it's great
Geeky (VariablyGeeky)I just purchased a TP-Link Omada ER605. I am not sure how far down in the line it is from this but looking to start with it to explore setting up device to device tunnel between two physical locations. I have a couple Asus routers that might have been able to do this, which I will also explore, but I suspect this TPLink would give me more control over how data is split with IP and Port, and maybe URL, based policies. Watching your videos definitely helped me remember Omada and have it benkoee of a consideration. Though, I picked up a couple Gl.iNet GL-MT300N-V2 for cheap USB power options. All 3 routers were just over $100.
Nice, yeah I do like tplink as a basic but powerful network stack, does almost everything you could want. Look at tailscale or something like that for setting up the network across all devices maybe
Geeky (VariablyGeeky)I might also look into that since I also have [Unfortunately] a Synology Nas box which should give me plenty of tinkering space. Since it's something that already runs and has the multiple Eth ports already it would be good tester.
My homelabbing addiction with a synology.
